Speaking of all these great movie cars, has anyone ever seen "Harold
and Maude"?
There were a few nice cars in the movie including an awesome hearse
and a late 60’s ’stang, but my absolute favorite movie car is the Jag
that Harold converted into a mini hearse…
Clint
Perhaps someone should compile a list of movies that feature great cars…

My previous message titled ‘exit’ shouldn’t be titled that. It should have
been something like "wanted/for sale" or something. I haven’t gotten use to
this news reader yet and started typing things before it asked for it so I
typed in the wrong thing at the wrong time.

George responded to a posting of mine, and all of my attempts to email him
back have bounced, so I need his email address.
Or if you see this, George, please tell me the location of the pickup truck,
and if it’s not too much trouble to get, the phone number. Thanks!

I have some items I need to find and a couple things I need to sell, so here
goes.
WANTED: I need a manual transmission for a 302 (not sure about the year model
of the motor but it has blue manifold covers so that would put it sometime
before about 1984, right?). Four or five speed will do. This is going in a
‘65 Ford Fairlane so it needs to be a car trans. and not a truck trans. If you
have something like I need but think it won’t fit in my car, don’t worry; I
have a welding machine and a cutting torch and I know how to use it.
FOR SALE: I got a transmission with the 302 when I bought it and I need to
sell it. It is a granny-gear four speed transmission. It is in perfect shape
but it just won’t fit in my car (I don’t want to cut out the whole floorboard
and still have the trans. dragging the ground!). Whenever I get this 302 in my
car, I’ll be wanting to sell the motor that’s in it now. It’s a 200 6 cyl and
it runs great. It doesn’t burn any oil, doesn’t smoke, or anything. It’s a
good motor, but I just won’t have any need for it.
If you’re interested, e-mail me and we’ll work something up.

Greetings!
I’m not sure where to post this, but since it’s *almost* antique, I
thought I’d start here. I have acquired a 1970 Opel GT 1900, and
need some contacts. I need all kinds of chrome, some mechanical
parts, and such. Does anyone know/has anyone heard of a group
that deals with/is interested in these cars? I’m in the Washington,
DC area and need help!!
Thanks,
Amy

Hello
I can’t find what I did with the address, but I know someone who does.
So I’ll post it as soon as I get it under the subject "Jag WWW site"
If I can put together the resources for a Stude/Avannti page. Can
anyone help me out with fill it with gifs, jpegs and event info? I have
a lot of magazine articles and stuff, but don’t currently have the resources
to scan them (probably in the fall tho). Also I’m not currently active in
any of the clubs (for monetary/time reasons)
Ciao…

I recently acquired a 1951 Mercury and want to learn to do engine
maintenance/repair work on it. The flathead V-8 is supposed to be an easy
engine to work on, so how does a person who is intelligent but stupid
around cars learn how? I feel I could use a guru/tutor, but maybe a class
or book would be enough. I’d appreciate any suggestions.
